ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Fiona!
I’m originally from Canada, having grown up in Montreal and Toronto and then later in Vancouver. I’m of Scottish origin and am lucky to have dual UK-Canada citizenship which has allowed me to live, work and travel freely in Europe since I moved over in late 2000.
I’m a travel, landscape and drone photographer as well as a qualified hiking guide and tour leader. I first started off in documentary photography and photojournalism. Since 2016, I’ve moved into travel and landscape photography with drone imagery a key part of my work.
I have a strong passion for nature and the outdoors. I love all kinds of landscapes, but mountains and waterfalls are a particular favourite. In the past few years I have become very interested in conservation and rewilding and try to integrate those into the trips I take as well as those I lead.
I have travelled to 44 countries on six continents and have hiked in over half of them. I frequently go on solo journeys and prefer slow travel. I therefore go by land as much as possible, so as to reduce my environmental impact. I speak fluent French, Italian and Spanish, intermediate German, and can understand Catalan and Portuguese.
